Some songs I write on Piano, and some songs I write on Guitar. I am more familiar with the Piano, so those songs seem to sound a little more sophisticated. I'm really starting to enjoy playing the Guitar as well, so I'm hoping that with practice I will get better. As far as the songs that Erik and I write together...we usually start out with our individual concepts and work them a little before taking them to one another.

I hopefully am successful in applying her finesse with melody and lyrics. She always sang lyrics so you could understand every word without detracting from the melody line. The two were always equal - one never overshadowed the other.
