1.) What's the deal on Avatars and Signatures?
Well, Mfyi.com rules state:

What does this mean?
Well, the dimensions of the avatar and the signature are pretty standard.
a.)Avatar: you can only have an avatar that fits the
130X220 pixel limit. But, in order to make things easier for users here,
you can upload your avatar to Mfyi.com and we'll host it for you!
To do this, after you login in, go to 'My Control Center' then 'Edit My Files'. After you upload an image
(only images are allowed to be uploaded)
you can link to it in your signature by copying the link to the file uploaded and placing the code
[img](picture URL here)[/img] in your signature.
b.)Signature: Any amount of suitable multimedia may be placed here as long as it fits the 500X250 pixel boundary. This also applies to the addition of text as well, i.e: if you have a signature picture and add text along with it, they both must fit withing the 500X250 limit.
c.) Now this is the part some might find confusing. Both the avatar and the signature COMBINED must come within the 100KB limit. it can't be higher than that. so you can have an avatar which is 90K, but your signature picture can only be 10K or less. Also, you can only have one image in your signature box.
2.) I keep getting yelled at for double-posting, but it's not my fault!
It's just too slow at going through! What can i do to make sure I don't do a double post again?
Double-posting can be prevented by clicking on the "SUBMIT" button
ONCE, when you finish writing your post.
If it takes a long time for the post to be submitted, there's a chance that there might be heavy traffic that day,
so the response time maybe a little sluggish. Rest assured, your post is being sent through.
3.) I forgot something and I wanna be able to make an addition to my existing post without making a double post. how do i do that?
Simple, all you have to do is look at the bottom right corner of your post in the thread. There, you'll see under your post "EDIT POST". click on it, and you'll be taken back to your original post. There you can make whatever changes you want and resubmit it.
4.) ARRRGGHH!! I hate this forum! I spent the last half an hour writing out this amazing post, and when i click on SUBMIT, all i
get is a "Invalid Session" Error, and it when i try to go back,
it erased my post! What happened?
Yes, this does tend to happen on phpBB forums, since there is an automatic protective mechanism
inbuilt in the forum software itself. The cookies on the forum are set to
reset after 15 minutes.
Which means if you keep your post window open longer than that, chances are, you'll lose it.
The only method we can recommend you do to make sure you don't lose your post is:
-Highlight your entire post text.
-Open up any word processor on your computer, we recommend notepad, as it has a very quick load time and serves its purpose quite well.
-COPY and PASTE your text over to Notepad. That way, you'll have a backup of your original.
-Go ahead now, and click on SUBMIT. If you get an error message, you'll have nothing to worry about, since you've got a backup right in front of you!
just go back to the posting screen and copy the text over from notepad back.
5.) I'm having problems with another member on the forum!! He/She keeps harrassing me through Private Messages!
Things like this are not taken lightly by the Mfyi.com forum staff. If you're having problem with another
user which you feel is something that you will not be able to resolve on your own, or if you feel
that the person is threatening you, use the 'Report Abuse' link located on the top right toolbar and we'll be sure to
look into the matter for you.
6.) I got a link to a REALLY REALLY cool site, but when i paste URL, it's SO long that it starts to scroll! How do i make it shorter?
All you have to do is add a couple of things in the URL so that it'll be a "condensed" version of the original URL that you posted.
First, copy and paste the URL you want to post up.
Next, add the URL tags at the top with the following additions.
Once you do that it should turn out like this:
7.) Help! I can't see any images on the forums and on the main site
It looks like you have some type of spyware installed thats rewriting your referral address, as we disabled the offsite images to discourage remote linking of them.

8.) Can I upload pictures besides my avatar picture to this site?
Yes, use the code [img](picture URL here)[/img] in your post. Your image will appear in the thread.
9.) What is the 'Report This Message' Link?
You should all see a link called 'Report This Message' in the lower right corner of the message.
If someone breaks a rule, or does something you think needs to be reported click on the link.
Do Not abuse this feature. If you do abuse it you will be given a warning. If you really abuse it i.e. reporting everyone you will be banned.
10.) How do I change my E-mail Address? I can't seem to do it through the forum! Should I just make another user?
No. As the rules clearly state, clone accounts are NOT allowed. If you wish to change your e-mail address all you
have to do is click on My Control Center which appears in the top toolbar after you log in
and click on "Edit Email Preferences".
