My tue name is Philippe Pages. However, my producers were worry for my name doesn't sound good in foreign languages. In middle of 70's it was a trend on side of artists in the entertainment industry to change their names to get a "nickname". One of my grand-grand mammy who lived in Sweden in the middle of the 18th century was "Clayderman". We agreed that we will use this name and because the Philippe Clayderman sounded terrific we choose Richard.
